Don't pull the "you" crap, even if you mean it in the universal sense. When I was in college, I worked full time in a union job. In the early 1990s, when NAFTA was being discussed in Congress, many of the union stewards and I organized demonstrations, got pabreastions signed, and tried to contact members of congress -- all to no avail. Yes, many people were asleep at the wheel, but not all of us. Also, none of our jobs were under threat from NAFTA, but saw the bullpoo being sold to us and knew we had better act becuase something else would come along someday that would affect us.

Kamal R. Prasad Correct. There is however a HUGE MISSCONCEPTION. The missconception is that low taxes = investor friendly. Not at all, not at all...

As for the educated not caring, you can't put all the blame on them. For years, young people were told that they would need to go to college to prepare for the "jobs of tomorow" or be left in the dark. Do you remember the promises that were being made when NAFTA was pbutted? They said, "lower-end jobs will be lost, but we will gain all these high-tech jobs, so get a high-tech degree and you'll have a ticket to the future". Do you remember that? Republicans and Democrats alike said that and it was a huge lie. Twelve years later, the same buttholes never even admit to saying that and with regard to offshoring high-tech jobs, their response is "live with it" or "it's good for America".

Razor Face Isn't that what the Vatican wanted people to believe before the renaissance? :-) He is talking of public discontent -not health of the US...

Don't be so sure. Historically, when economic times got very dire for the mbuttes, pure capitalism was seen as a failure and social reforms were demanded (1930s in the U.S.) I'm almost hoping we do get into another great depression because that is probably what it will take to wake people up. A major problem is that people for the last four decades were conditioned into believing socialism was bad while capitalism was always good (not knowing enough history to be aware that the record of capitalism is far from perfect). However, on a positive note, most U.S. polls indicate a discontent with the U.S. Economy despite attempts from the drunken idiot in the White House to show how rosey things are.

Articulating is one thing; advocating is another. He is anti-middle-clbutt and pro-big-business. That's my point.
