There are other positives buttociated with employers not providing health care. An extremely high percentage of American workers, mostly older ones, stay employed for the main purpose of receiving cushy health care benefits. These greedy geezers, most of them Baby Boomers, are stealing jobs from younger people. Almost no Boomers retire; most will "work" until their dying days. Foreigners are by no means the only barrier to young adults getting jobs. Old people need to retire and free up jobs for younger generations, but instead, they're staying employed. Removing all work-related benefits such as health care will give geezers more of an incentive to retire.

A government health care system must be implemented properly. Hillary's plan is an example of how NOT to implement health care. Hillary's plan gave people even MORE of an incentive to work, because employers were FORCED to pay half the cost, as with Social Security. Therefore, jobless people and the self-employed had to pay TWICE as much as the parasites who work for someone else. In addition, the premiums were extremely high: over $5000 per year. The socialist plan made healthy people (younger people, men, etc) pay the same as parasitic burden people (elderly, women, especially women who choose to get themselves pregnant, smokers, etc).

Health care would have to be basic, with no tax dollars wasted on plastic surgery, Viagra, lung transplants for smokers, etc.

A higher tax on inheritance, capital gains, and dividends would also be a good way to fund healthcare. Just a sales tax is most popular with penny-pinching libertarians who hoard money and who don't contribute to the economy. Taxes on non-work income help prevent penny-pinchers from being such a burden.

The best sales taxes are luxury taxes and sin taxes. A huge tax on cigarettes, beer, SUVs, gasoline, and sugar (if made legal) would be a good way to generate revenue. Not taxing essential items such as groceries would help prevent the poor from being overtaxed.
