"Careers are being destroyed by the misrepresentation of the the education and quality of foreign labor as its in the interest of that labor to sell skills...Most of those destroying careers here in the US -DO NOT- want to immigrate but rather want to, understandably considering their sub par wages, stay in their home country where the cost of living allows even that minimal wage to allow them to do well. " Anyone who is on an H1b is going to deal with a hiring manager who is low down the value chain. Here in India, I am doing technically challenging work -but in the US it is most likely QA for which I am overqualified. So, it turns out I don't want to be in the US because the work over there is going to be lousy The day americans get to hear from their managers that "not only are those doing offshored work cheaper, but they are actually better" -they can kiss their careers goodbye. IMO -if you really want all jobs within US for yourself and not let foreigners in, the right thing to do is to make yourself a compebreastive hire. It means both improving skills and govt ensuring that cost of living is in line with other countries. Calling names isn't going to fix anything. And if you want to accuse people who are working in their own country for your problems -that is plain ridiculous. regards -kamal
