From the biggest robberbarron of all: the Decline of Microsoft

Canada has more natural resources than the USA -but is poorer... Hightech jobs recovery Don't believe the hype 1676 BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT!!! Next contestant please. Why do you think that Canada is "poorer" than the USA????? What is the average *FAMILY* work week in Canada? How much do... I already responded to this but forgot to mention that I spent a fair bit of time getting Linux on several of my boxes and tried it out several years ago. Also tried BSD, too, on one box. In general I was pretty happy with Linux (could tell a lot of horror stories, though), but there were just 4-5 simple things that I liked better with DOS (and Win3.1) plus all my DOS aps that I still like better than most Win programs. For non-MS DOS OSes, you can get DR-DOS off the internet, I think still for free (FreeDOS which is totally free, but it won't run many old DOS aps, but it comes in both 16 bit and 31 bit versions), and the old Geoworks office suite, which then became NewDeal Office, and then was stomped by MS, but may have yet another incarnation, was quite decent. I have NewDeal Office (for DOS), and it has long file names, resizable windows, multiple windows, copy-cut and paste between windows, nice graphics, mouse driven pull down menues and quite nice unless you really need all that MScrap. I'm kinda a contrarian kind of guy....I don't run with the crowds, mobs, herds
