Perhaps you sold GM short when they were $27 a share, and now you're scared because some lunatic announced he's going to buy nearly a billion dollars' worth of GM at $31 a share, so you're trying to start rumors to bring their price back down?

GM indeed has many a problem. Socialist policies force GM to shell out billions of dollars in pensions and health care. If GM keeps employees in the USA, they're forced to pay huge socialist benefits to the UAW. If they move operations overseas, the quality of the work might be inferior. GM already suffered huge losses when they offshored a lot of work to companies in India with disastrous results.

Last week S&P downgraded GM to a strong sell and listed their debt rating as junk.

In alt.computer.consultants I've told a true story about an upper caste Hindu Brahmin who cost GM many millions of dollars when he remotely shut down an entire GM plant in Texas by rebooting a machine in India. Instead of being fired and blackballed, he was given an H1-B and allowed to work in the USA (for a company other than GM), then he got a green card (fraudulently, his sponsoring company got the green card for "VB expertise" even though he'd have trouble writing a "Hello World" program in VB!) He brown-noses managers and backstabs grunt coders. This Hindustani is typical of Hindustani who do work for American companies.
