Grow a brain. It will centuries before India becomes as expensive as USA, unless USA crashes overnight and becomes India :-)

India has huge population which will ensure that human services remain cheap for decades.. centuries to come.

If I am earning, say 2 million INR per annum, I can easily hire a personal maid for a very good sum to do house jobs. All I have to do is to ensure that they are reliable. That's what my sister is doing. They pay their maid so well that the maid doesn't have to go elsewhere to work. They work exclusively at my sister's place while my sis and b-in-law work.

I am just wondering how much I have to earn in USA to be able to afford a personal maid.

I can also avoid driving to work in India. All I have to do it to take an auto (3 wheeler) daily to work. Let the auto driver handle the crazy traffic. There isn't any appreciable difference in cost. ========================================

There is simple no comparison in living standards in some issues. You can hire others to do all ur chores.
