Gen Y versus Gen X 3760
Socialism in the Inca Empire historical note disclosure: to zack on s.r.c - you might not want to read this, you'll just get upset. disclaimer: the following is not meant... Im not in a position to indulge in peeing matches -so I will skip over that data. snip Gen Y versus Gen X 3761 Kamal R. Prasad How typical of Hindustani to surf the web instead of working. If I were in charge of a company, I'd install "spy" software... If you look back at some of your posts, you said India and China are using the US as a cash cow. Now if you look at your above statements, you will realize that the US has been using the world around it as iits cash cow for the past 100+yrs. If you have any illusions about the US sitting on top of an unlimited pile of money, let me tell you that it is the world's biggest debtor and if the US economy collapses for some reason, the world will stop lending money to the US. You have a serious trade deficit partly because made in USA products are not compebreastvely priced. how many people in a call centre do you expect to have earned an engg degree in the US? I work in s-w -nad I haven't come across a single engr with a degree from the US, and the same can be said about people higher up the ranks. The fact is that enrollment into US schools by foreigners is DOWN and hiring of non-US graduates outside US in CS&E is UP big time. ACM (the only organization to which I have membership) has a policy of boosting the morale of americans and encouraging them to take to CS&E -while enrollment outside US is pretty good thanks to the job oppurtunities. To quote Alan Greenspan's testimony to the US senate "in order to improve our std of living, we should continue to have free trade with china". When you have cheaper imports from other countries -provided you do have a source of income-it should raise your std of living as it makes things more afordable. so you win in terms of offshoring being a failure and lose in terms of complaining about job losses. they wil do what it takes to earn their living as per the laws of the Indian consbreastution. The cheaper products needn't come from india and in terms of products, they almost certainly don't. regards -kamal
