Goldman searching for talent for India 1658Kamal R. Prasad I wouldn't put too much stock in that. Most people who spew that kinda horse poop** on Usenet are playing a role. That's as far as it will go. The ones that *are* sufficiently motivated to Do Something have enough cognitive dissonance that they won't be able to do it very well. ** and I am dead sure that Straydog is not one of those folks. No way. Real neonazis won't last long. For real. Seriously? The major vector for white supremacy in America is the prison system. That's just Our Thing, a Gift from the Quakers, the inventors of the PMITA prison... all American architecture, for example, is based on prison construction. Schools, hospitals, malls... Look, *that is exactly what media outlets do*. They modulate the watcher's stress levels to maximize the impact of advertising. If they don't, they won't be as compebreastive. So the long term effect is artifically contrived Doom, on every channel. So of course we see gloom and doom cruft. Makes the commercials shinier. By pure Pavlovian conditioning, the good is sold... Evrything is in a long term decline*. Short term? Nah. The US economy has enough flywheeel alone that two generations (starting with people born today ) probably won't notice any effect, if there is any. I'm very sorry you had a bad experience with it, and I was probably a direct compebreastor for jobs with you when you were here. More the merrier, sez I. of H1B folks. I did not get an offer, but I don't blame *you* for that - it was just an unlikely thing, at the outset of the 2001 recession. I read later that that project was cancelled. Goldman searching for talent for India 1660 Les Cargill There was at least one article that touched a nerve in EE Times. IEEE USA is suggesting to the US govt they help it to eleminate... But no matter what anybody says, if this country is *not* respectful of immmigrants, espcecially law abiding and legal ones, then it's lost something very precious. Again, I'd be very surprised to actually see that. I would not, however, be surprised to see India grow madly for quite a while. Good. Hope it's sustainable. We need the customers :) -- Les Cargill Goldman searching for talent for India 1659 On Thu, 27 Jul 2006, Kamal R. Prasad Mr Ravi, go ahead and contact Kamal, then tell me what he tells you.
