Hightech jobs recovery Don't believe the hype 1676BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT!!! Next contestant please. Indian BPOs have won the biggest outsourcing deals so far this year Published: Sunday, 23 July, 2006, 01:11 PM Doha Time LONDON: Indian service providers have bagged the biggest... Why do you think that Canada is "poorer" than the USA????? What is the average *FAMILY* work week in Canada? How much do they have to pay for health insurance and how much does a beer cost? I don't know that either of these countries have more natural resources per capita but last I looked they did not. In any case you are on the wrong track. I have claimed that the USA could be self sufficient and have a better life style than other nations because we have abundant natural resources. I will not shrink from that position because there is no reason to do so.
I appreciate your tutorial on what I already know. You actually seem to have a clue about monetary economics. Very good. But it all gets back to what I said before all the smoke blowing about the money: You buttume that the USA *needs* to trade with other nations so as to be comfortable. And I dispute that. India is not so fortunate and MUST trade. I am trying to get you to understand that the USA does not NEED others to "lend" us wealth in return for dollars. It is nice while it lasts, but it just is not a necessity except for the oil. And BTW, the rest of the world must use dollars to buy oil and that is why the rest of the world takes these dollars. If oil is traded in euros we will see an end to all this "lending of wealth". But back to the actual point: Only the very rich are beneficiaries of the H1B system. The middle clbutt is being screwed by it. Irrelevant. The point of discussion is the lifestyle of the American middle clbutt. Would we be better off or worse off if we made the stuff here? Saying we don't make it here does not address the actual question. Unsupported claim. The US probably owes much of its current level of prosperity to military control of oil. But the middle clbutt may be just as prosperous or more so without such control. Empire is not cheap. You really got it bad, Prasad. Oil is the life blood of current civilization and America had better find a way out for itself very soon. We will not be doing it by destroying the wages of the middle clbutt in our own country and by importing more and more people. Labor is not a commodity like oil or water or gold. Labor is human beings and labor is the cost of everything we want. Oil is a replacement for labor, capital a magnifier of labor. But the minimization of labor is always the real objective. We all seek to fulfill our wants with as little labor and discomfort as possible. Labor is only a "commodity" to an aristocratic neoconomist. Hightech jobs recovery Don't believe the hype 1677 The Trucker because their std of living and saving potential is less than the USA. Go to any border crossing -you will see a stream of 'snow... The word moral derives from the Latin "moralis" which means of manner and custom. The USA has developed a custom of high wages during the last century. One is enbreastled to a wage that one can get. In a true representative republic the common people will demand and receive good wages. Your attempts at playing the race card are noted. Hightech jobs recovery Don't believe the hype 1682 Kamal R. Prasad Because it didn't have any relevance to the point I was making. It is called bribe, and corruption is the main reason some... within the limited sphere of THIS sovereignty. CEO crooks...more and more Wow! What a brilliant ploy! You respond to my note, disguising it as a response... And you, Mr. Prasad, will not be telling me what wages I am enbreastled to. Hide and watch. This is the fallacy you fall into when you believe that money is wealth and-or that individual saving is a necessary precursor to real capital development. Yep. Hightech jobs recovery Don't believe the hype 1681 Nospam why do you skip my response? being allowed to do business in a country is a type of privelege for which politicians receive campaign... I insist that they hire Americans to do work that needs to be done here in America. If they want to hire Indians then they can relocate to India. That suits me just fine and I don't see why you would not welcome it. And BTW, if buttet taxation is used in lieu of all forms of income taxes then I really do care where they put the corporate office or the production plant. Our problem is "empire". But if we are to be the empire and spend all our resources bringing free markets and democracy to the entire planet then we will need collect taxes within the entire empire. Any company that sells products in this country will pay an buttet tax to the US government whether that company is multinational or Chinese, or Indian, or Japanese. We will no longer protect India from Pakistan and Japan from Russia unless the tax is paid. And if the Chinese want to copy Gate's software and send it back to the US then that is fine if MS does not pay for the force needed to protect its copyrights. Enough of this free ride for the corporations on the backs of the American wage earner. I will go down to the port and throw flowers as these buttholes leave the country. The income tax and all taxes on production need to be eliminated and replaced with buttet taxes. -- "I know no safe depository of the ultimate powers of society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education." - Thomas Jefferson
