India following facist model according to Indian author 1718Straydog yep -capitalism enhances disparity of income. Employment whether forced or voluntary does pay more than being unemployed. Ask the unemployed folks who signed up for work in Iraq -whether they would prefer being alive and unemployed back home. It isn't a profession. A landlord is the owner of property and the rent he collects is not a trade -but a return on investment. Read this:- Do you know something about capital formation? India following facist model according to Indian author 1719 On Fri, 25 Aug 2006, Kamal R. Prasad Any business can be called a profession. If you like, you can put quote marks on it. It all... it created surplus labour for employers -but the lack of a proper govt made it difficult for companies to setup shop in communist govts. So, it didn't immediately lead to a fall in wages -but over time, companies started establishing offices in India, China, Russia -to utilize that surplus labour and the effect is showing now. Yep -it saved the american taxpayer a lot of money. You may want to thank Reagan and-or macro-economic mis-management in the USSR for making it happen faster :-). You may want to read up an article in the washington post by Daniel Pearlston. Globalization is good for both investors and consumers -not just investors. If you say that american consumers should buy products made in the USA even if more productive labour is available overseas -you save one job, but at the expense of the american consumer himself. By allowing him to buy products made by employing the best-most compebreastive raw materials and labour available globally -you provide more value to consumers. Investors of such companies succeed because the consumer vouches for such products. Its not exactly a conspiracy from the top -as much a case of market forces prevailing over dogma. Why dont you ask your fellow american consumers if they are the ones going anywhere for the best deals?? If they discourage suppliers of products made overseas by bycotting their goods -automatically, offshoring will become a pbutting fad no matter how good a job overseas workers do. India following facist model according to Indian author 1720 Straydog and when you define it so -that is your definition, not one accepted by society. It... regards -kamal
