the popular idea about india in usa is terribly inadequate -summed up in one or two lines - and usually false to boot. india, like the usa is highly diverse country, a lot more. imagine the diversity in USA with each of its 50 state having its own different distinctive language - like the europe. a language usually is a reflection of a unique culture.

the bush administration, at the behest of its political base of the right wing christians, have really gone full force with missionaries. of course, the cia tags along in this too, for it is convenient even though its part is small. in the south india, church after church have opnened up in last few years, all equipped to "serve" with schools, and clinics and the whole 9 yards. the number of churches is clearly in dispropotion number to the chrisitan population there. they are now getting really bold. new churches now have started to line the roads leading upto popular grand hindu mandirs that attract millions of hindus - the idea is to cause trouble. if the hindus protest, they are called intolerant fundamentalists and bigots etc using the willing communist media. to exploit the poor vulnerable and convert them in name of service is abuse of religion. if the usa wanted really to serve, it could work with the established local charities. but for the west religion too is a political tool. it is particularly sad when one sees empty church pews in europe and good part of usa on one hand, while they are overanxious to convert people in india and china on the other. i am just glad china is holding firm on this issue against the vatican and the neocons.

the hindus usually are not political people, but this kirastani and mommedan commie agrressions are really changing the mindset of a wonderful people into a partisanship that's alien to their civilization.

yes, that's correct. their political party is "the communist party of india", which is now part of the ruling govt in india!!! they hold handsome fundraisers in the usa under the name of "aid". as you might know, nepal, which was all along a hindu country is now overrun by these maoists, its king toppled, and declared "secular". it's only matter of time that propslytization industry will set up its businesses there. not surprisingly, these maoists in nepal were helped by the communist party of india, which has managed to rope in the bush administration. the communist party in india is beholden to the china. yet, curiously, the communists rather team up with christian interests in india, while china doesn't keeps them at bay with a 10ft pole.

most hindus oppose war in 'eyerack", only because it's futile and self-defeating, for terror against usa never existed in iraq. the usa is wasting itself away there, thus setting back the goal of the war - an alarming prospect for the hindus. i doubt anybody wants terror eliminated more than the hindus because if you read india's history you will see it's a history of people highly traumatized over 1000 years. hindus have shown to the bush administration that terror is spread like plague in pakistan and yet bush doesn't want to fight terror there, instead he regards paksi as strategic ally in the war on terror!!! the tragedy of the hindus is that they can not fight terror because they are checkmated in their own country where the govt sides with the muslims on international issues. did you know the indian govt even sought memebership once in the "organization of islamic countries"? the hindu criticism of usa is usually well intended. like the jewish people, usa is their only hope. however, they are not able to endear themselves to christian america like the jewish people can, because of the religion.

there is only so much you can milk a system, and usa is overmilked, clearly. the sad thing is usa has in its culture that the ceos must show evergrowing balance sheets or the ceos are looked upon disfavorably. the shareholders ask: are we better off today than we were last quarter? the american companies need to be more accountable to who made it all possible in the first place: the american worker.

it may sound ironic, but, under the present situation, if the hispanics spoke english, usa would lose a whole lot more jobs, including the ones that require education and english speaking ability. so, count your blessings that they do not speak english. many hindus think it's unfortunate that same is not the situation with india's neighors pakistan.
