All this complaining about accent and fake IDs etc. is just nonsense. Stop moaning and crying. The market is driving the entire industry. Whether one likes it or not outsourcing is the fact of life in USA and in GB and may be in other countries too. And it is going to increase. I just came to know that AIR CANADA has transferred the entire reservation system to India. Good for the company they say and its share holders. If you want to fly Air Canada call the outfit in India. Otherwise go to an AIR CANADA counter at one of the airports. So those who are complaining against the outsourcing, including Mr. Dobbs, just will have to accept it and get used to it. That is the way the business is being done. If someone does not understand the accent I say "tough luck." If you want your work done you just have to understand the accent otherwise be willing to pay very very very high fees to have it done in USA or GB. I think all those companies that are outsourcing services to save money should offer an alternative to have the same services provided in USA or GB at the cost that would allow them to hire local highly qualified persons with a proper accent. Let them get the service they want in the accent they want and pay for it. But I can butture you the cost will be 10 or 20 times higher. All these descriptions the newspapers are giving about transforming cities like Bangalore from sleepy little backwaters into the New York Cities of Asia, providing India's elite with a standard of living unimaginable" is nonsense. Just go a few miles away from these call center buildings and find how 98% of the people live. Mind boggling poverty and unsanitary conditions. Only a very very very few in India can be considered as living in the style very middle clbutt families live in USA. While in USA, McDonalds and Pizza Huts are visited by those who are at the lower level of incomes, in India going to McDonald or Pizza Hut is only possible for very rich. So just accept what is happening in the world and learn to live with it otherwise time will just go by...BND
