A interesting follow up... Friedman's book..

Intel "need never hire another American again"

"By Adamson Rust: Friday 27 May 2005, 09:22 THE WORLD Service of the BBC broadcast an interview with Thomas Friedman, author of book The World is Flat, first thing this morning."

' We don't know when this programme on the BBC was recorded, but Friedman said that he talked to the CEO of Intel "last week" who told him that as there was such a great big pool of talent outside the US and as aliens account for 75 per cent of Chipzilla's business, "he need never hire another American again". '

Well... I don't need to ever recommend or buy another "Intel" product again.

-----------

Then again, Intel's strategy seams to be slipping..

America's Real Wake Up Call
On Wed, 25 May 2005, indiaBPOking i.e. the best companies which are the ones that are the biggest parasites: screw the underlings...

I can't think of any new products of recent vintage, that weren't warmed over versions of products that were designed in the late 90's by their former US engineers.

For example.. the "Pentium M" is just a rehash of their old "Pentium III" technology. The Pentium D is just two P-4s stuck on the same die and run at a lower clock frequency.
