Again, as every CEO he is an idiot who have no clue what he is talking about.

When you sell a product for the same price but to produce it into US you need to pay more than in India the only way to increase compebreastiveness is to cut the wages as in India.

On the other side, the living expenses in US are way bigger than in India. In that situation, even if you eliminate the H1B cap who will be so idiot to come into US to get the same wage but to pay more ?

The ONLY way you can attract offshore talents in US is to pay more than in their home country. But this will eliminate the compebreastiveness.

Aaaaa, the same old lie with productivity !!! Let see it. US workers have to be more productive than in India to be more compebreastive. OK. How can you achieve more productivity ?

1. Working longer hours for the same wage 2. Working harder that the Indian for the same wage 3. Having tools better than the Indian have

1. You are so idiot to expect Indians to leave thir home, their family, their culture to come in US to work more than at home for a salary no better in order to make America more compebreastive against India. If you expect that you are either mentally insane either you are a (former) CEO which is equivalent.

2. Let say this is possible, but how much can the difference be ? 5% let say 10%? Americans are not superhumans, they have the same body structure as Indians. Unless you believe in Superman and Spiderman you must have a CEO brain to believe that.

3. BINGO. This was the single and core reason US used to be so advanced compared with the rest of the world. This is also the only solution to globalization problem. BUT let see what CEOs are doing. They open in India new factories equipped with the technology of today and want the US company (build 10 years ago) with 10 years old technology to compete with the factories from India. If you believe so, then you can be only an idiot CEO.

So, as ALWAYS the CEO talk it is BULLpoo ONLY and nothing else.

The only solution for the globalization problem is to A). cut some uncompebreastive advantages foreign companies have against US companies (cheaper health care, pensions, educated workforce) B). insure that US gets the best of the bread in technology by excelling in research and development.

For A). we need to implement: - universal health care system - universal pension system as the main mean of retirement - free university education - gov. financed research centers

For B) the gov. financed research centers will transfer the new technologies to domestic small companies providing they sign a contract for not offshoring jobs for a while.

All these expenses are to be financed from a combination of sale tax and tax on capital gain and dividends.

That is the ONLY way US can survive the globalization. Everything else is useless CEO talk.

In translation:

I have no clue what your problem is, but you can pay a fortune to a CEO like me.

If by any chance, the company may recover and grow, I will get a nice slice of the company beside a couple of millions wage and I tell you that: You see what a smart CEO can do.

If (more likely) with the new expenses the company will not be able to survive at least you have somebody else to explain you that you just were not compebreastive, the products don't sell well, you have better compebreastion and so on. Buy I tell you that into such a nice CEO language that in the end you will be sure that you did the right thing letting me to destroy your 30 year old business.
