Just chickeny is crooky...was: American Middle Clbutt: Endangered Species 3052Sgt.Sausage How did you like YOUR boss....was: Just chickeny is crooky...was: American Middle Clbutt I only had one boss that was good: He left me alone. I gave him what he wanted (he never complained about my work... All of our personal samples are subject to statistical bias. I worked for one owner who used the 401(k) money that was withheld from employee's paychecks to keep the company afloat. I was lucky in that funding for my contract was cut and I found another job and got my money out, although it took a lawyer to do it. IIRC people who stuck it out with the company ultimately lost their retirement savings when the company finally went belly up some years later, even though the problem had been known for years and the owner had promised to fix it and keep the employees informed of his progress. OTOH I've heard a story of an owner who just gave the business to his employees when he wanted to retire, saying they had built the business as much as he had and deserved to have it. I've heard other stories about similar fine owners. BJM's exact quote is "Most bosses I've known", clearly delineating that he was referring to *his* personal experience. I know others who have had consistently bad experiences with bosses, while I've been fortunate and have been mostly treated well by competent bosses. Yes, it is easy and that is because of the number of bosses, however many that is, who fit the stereotype. Get an original retort. :-) Cheers, Russell
