KForce
I normally do not defend IT workers and I cannot speak for BO. However I can tell you that KForce has a well-deserved reputation for spamming newsgroups, attempting to get resumes in response to announcements of positions that either do not exist or were filled months prior. I rememeber a few years back, when the IT market was still good in the U.S., I met some recent college grads who were told by KForce that 100s of positions were waiting for them and to send in their resumes. They sent them in but never heard from KForce again. I also know someone who used to be a recruiter for KForce and he claimed that part of their business model was to build up a mbuttive database of resumes. This would give them a large pool of talent with a broad spectrum of skills so that they could quickly fill positions that really did come up. If they only collected resumes for currently open and unfilled positions, they would never accomplish this. In my opinion, doing business with this or any other agency would be a waste of your time. Now I'm looking a candidates for my client, the job description is: The successful candidate will be responsible for the global operations... Outsourcing Tax Prep: A Time and MoneySaver AccountingWEB.com - July 22, 2005 - More accounting firms are looking abroad in hopes that outsourcing certain tasks can streamline their business and free up time to focus on... For this reason I tell the people in this news group that they must take initiative, redefine themselves, be innovative and be their own person. Depending on an agency who could not care less about you is no way to manage your career. I have gotten nothing but unpleasant woman slaps here (by several angry people) for giving this advice.
