Laws against globalization.... 2919
On Mon, 20 Mar 2006, Kamal R. Prasad India saw a good thing for itself (a way to bring in tons of money and modernization) and jumped on the bandwagon. Why do you persist in portraying US-India relations as if India is doing the US a favor? Laws against globalization.... 2920 Straydog No -India opted for signing the WTO treaty and opening the economy to the world outside BEFORE knowing what it would lead to. We had a balance of payments crisis and the... "We" make up our minds? From all the pro-India propaganda I've seen splashed on a.c.c I have no doubt that the authors are either bragging and-or drumming up more business for themselves, and from the US side, we have all kinds of conflicts between the winners and losers and the politicians who are trying to mainly figure out how to get elected, re-elected, and take some payola (money under the table) without gettting caught. Which means that all the participants got a chance to say what they wanted and didn't want in the final agreements. Or, in other words none of this "US dominates the rest of the world" was there. Oh, look at the big lie, folks. As if no other country in the world figures out ways to bypbutt US interests or promote their own. Looks like I'll need to save some more newspaper articles on how OTHER countries come up with tricks meant to benefit them. Such as "India didn't open all its markets to the US" and that is why Bush did the Nuclear Giveaway to India recently. Laws against globalization.... 2922 It aint upta me. Five of the most noteworthy seek to: - Impose 27.5% tariff on Chinese imports if China fails to substantially appreciate the yuan, - Ease rules on when companies can seek higher duties on Chinese imports, - Require Treasury to determine if China's currency practices distort international trade, and - Establish a system to monitor China's compliance with specific WTO commitments." Outsourcing the Big Kahuna Posted: March 9, 2006 1:00 a.m. Eastern Is nothing sacred in secular society anymore? I read recently that Madison Avenue is outsourcing high-end creative work to India... From the article "U.S. Tensions Rise Over China" by Neil King, Jr. ------------------------- Maybe if you continue to make this mistake about not knowing what is going on in the world, I'll just insert this file and maybe you will become a little better educated. The USA is not the only source of problems for globalization and there are other countries that want benefits only for themselves but no costs to themselves. A better way is to evaluate national (middle-clbutt) This is desireable, but very difficult. Another thing closer to what you have in That is also not easy to do and in the end going out of globalization may cause as much damage as going into globalization.
