It aint upta me. I see tradeoffs no matter what law is pbutted. I expect there will be unforseen effects that Murphy's laws warn us about that will be ignored for the sake of perceived political advantage.
What is upta me, is my own local situation, which looks pretty good. Some of the rich, apparently worried about the instability of urban life, are building mini-castles all over my neck of Ozark woods, and there is a labor shortage for young men on that account. I even saw an in your face dyke get hired quickly.
Jared Diamond, in his latest, "Collapse" writes of the same thing going on in the Bitterroot Valley of Montana, such that the economic impact of the rich building villas is greater than the old line mining and cattle business. Go for a drive in the country, ask around, folks will tell you where its going on.

Diamond put his finger on the future of America as "the land of the brave and the home of the"... rich. If the American economy tanks, so will the global economy, and *lots* of rich people will want to move here to minimize their risk of being dragged out to be shot.
