Remember the big stink raised by the ACLU, MALDEF, MEChA, and Derechos Humanos over the Minuteman Project and how the iron fist of the law would come down on the Minutemen if they dared to detain an illegal immigrant? The Mexican Government, Condi Rice, Bush and Janet Napolitano talked about "vigilantes" and what a huge threat the Minutemen were to the human rights of "migrant workers." Notice the complete silence from these people when it is Mexican criminal enterprises who are raping women, imprisoning migrants, and extorting money from their families. Notice the silence about the culture of rest threats against family members of these migrants if they talk to the police. There is clearly complicity with the organized crime syndicates who smuggle people into the U.S. on the part of the law centers and self-appointed human rights organizations, but the mainstream media and the government is silent about it.

Gee. How do the alien smugglers know whether they are raping an illegal alien or an American citizen? How can they tell? MALDEF sued rancher Roger Barnett and the Cochise County Sheriff for detaining illegal aliens -- but they are perfectly complacent when Latino criminals detain and rape Mexican migrants.

Can this guy chew gum and think at the same time?

This guy should be fired. American laws can be enforced without cooperation from Mexican prosecutors -- unless our government has secretly granted sovereignty over the Southwest to Mexico. In that case, we have a government that is complicit in the turning over of our nation to a narco-person state.

Isn't the goal of the Bush Administration to erase the borders with Mexico and Canada? If that is the case, then these victims are doomed no matter where they live. We will all live in fear and terror from Mexican criminal organizations even if we move to the Yukon Territories.

In other words, the Mexican government is not working with the Americans and is supporting the people-smugglers and rapists.

Interpretation -- enforcing our laws will hurt us. It is better to allow Mexican criminal syndicates to enslave women, rape them, and threaten to kill their families than to have the rule of law in the United States. Rules are bad and we should live in the kind of anarchy and Mafia-run countries like Bulgaria, Albania or Chechnya -- otherwise the status quo will be threatened.

Interpreted what laws? This is typical of the mushy-minded journalism that glosses over details and lacks any kind of substance. The laws against kidnapping, loveual buttault, false imprisonment, and extortion are very clear and we don't need the cooperation of Mexican investigators to enforce them. What is clear is that Mexican organized crime has established a foothold in the border regions of the U.S. and will inexorably move north. We don't need excuses and reasons why the laws cannot be applied to Mexican criminal elements.
