My alma mater outsources work to foreigners

My alma mater is notorious for giving the vast majority of their jobs to foreigners. The most common example is research grad students, but many professors and other workers are foreign.

Last fall I viewed the employment section on the university webpage and actually saw a job listing that matched my qualifications. I sent my resume with the proper information. Never heard from them. The main reason: they probably know I was born in the USA (though that may not be completely true, see below). In addition, when they view my resume and see where I got my computer science degree, they might not consider me because they know a degree from them isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Just got an alunmi questionnaire. They must have outsourced the alumni computer file to people in India! The mistakes are laughably bad. The envelope barcode is wrong, listing the wrong 9 digit zipcode.

First of all, they have multiple entries in fields that should only allow one entry. My marital status is Single AND Married AND Divorced AND Separated AND Widowed.

My ethnicity is American Indian AND Black American AND Asian Pacific AND Hispanic AND Foreign AND White American AND Other.

In the area for my work address, everything is blank except the 4-digit zipcode extension and the country (PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA).

Under "Fraternity-Sorority", they list "KAPPA KAPPA GAMMA", which happens to be a sorority (they got the gender right as male, so this should have raised a red flag).

Under "Athletic Letter-Sport", they give me credit for "LETTERMAN-TRACK".

Under "Honorary and Professional Societies", they list "ORDER OF THE COIF", whatever that is.

In "Other Student Activities", they list "TAU BETA PI".

I'm flagged as RETIRED.

My spouse doesn't have a name, but has a birthdate of 12-25-75 according to the school computer. A 29 year old wife doesn't sound bad to me.

I'm listed as having four children, two of whom were born before I was! A son named ROBERT was born in 1966 and graduated from MEDICAL SCHOOL in 1993. A daughter named MARY was born in 1965 and graduated from LAW in 1990.

Don't ask me how I could afford to put those two kids through such expensive education, considering a degree from my school isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

My other two kids were born in 2000 and 1992 according to the university computer.

Having 4 kids is unlikely in modern times for someone who works in China.

If they hired an AMERICAN to maintain the university alumni database, they might not make such errors!
