North America on the verge of economic collapse 4392 on collapse." infrastructure the It's not possible to spend non-existent wealth. The wealth must be created and come from somewhere. What I think you are alluding... HIT Fanatic ... ... Whose Asian Century By Jim Hoagland Thursday, June 9, 2005; Page A21 China prepares to head a great manufacturing empire. But empires unravel, usually from within. The... Not right. Central bank prints money-checks and banks loan 9x on it. (ref: read "Creature from Jekyll Island") Gov.t spends non-existent wealth. So, wealth pie stays same size (wealth defined as things of intrinsic value) but your slice just reduces in size (if you have cash or other liquid holdings in the USA then they lose value-wealth). Takes $5M to get into the bank club and not sure how much to get in the government contractor-good-old-boy club; else you're getting toasted. North America on the verge of economic collapse 4393 I'd love to hear a clarification of that! Who are you calling Native Americans? What *was* the democratic spirit of the Native Americans? What did it look like? I think the... No collapse here, just reduction of all non-bank, non-politicians towards poverty. So, housing bubble is a non sequitur: housing is simply retaining its value. As the money pie grows geometrically with each new reckless government fiscal year and the underlying banks-central bank that are glad to take advantage of it and make loans 9x (9x9x9x9x9x9 get it?), the dollar is dropping precipitously. Housing is simply retaining its value. Good thing about being poor is you don't have anything to lose! It's only because the investor does not realize how fast the USA is losing ground that he or she thinks he or she is making a fortune. Or because the investor plans to expatriate like Accenture, IR, Foster-Wheeler, and so many other formerly-USA companies and evade their fair share of the turnabout. The USA government loaded $8k per citizen on its people just to give company's a tax break last year: companies that import wooden chairs from China for instance! The USA government is bankrupt and it is only the tight vice of the IRS and federal property ownership claims-enforcement that keep their creditors at bay. Do you have $400,000 to pay your share of the federal, state, and municipal debts? What do you have to show for your debt investment? Whose Asian Century Here's a thoughtful note for you: I *never* said outsourcing is a scam. Perhaps you... The USA is not wealthy enough to maintain forces in 20 countries and live an over-consumption lifestyle to the point of not even punishing the crooks who are consciously bankrupting their companies to shirk their pension plan commitments. We have road systems that are 20 years behind the population and a population that is set to double as the US must allow mbuttive immigration to maintain a tax base to service its debt. It is clear that housing is not in a bubble; OTOH the dollar devaluation is an intentional effort to destroy the USA and her citizens. The long term dollar value places today's dollar at about $0.05 and falling fast year over year. So, get smart, buy land. Or get out of Dodge. In a hyper-inflation economy you gotta buy as fast as possible. Does the US government retain one ounce of democracy? Lift one finger towards bringing prosperity to its people? The USA is running on steam from its past glory while the Robber Governing steal all the wealth. Finally the democratic spirit of the Native Americans and the self reliance of the Pilgrims has been all but ferreted out and made illegal. Almost. TimJowers
