Outsourcing America 3019
Hey Straydog, I follow the housing market pretty closely, and it looks like we're on the cusp of a fairly serious correction. Inventory has skyrocketed...

Mainly because 1% of the population owns 90+% of the wealth. We are headed that way in the U.S. and our infrastructure is showing signs of aging, esp in California.

Look for other socio-economic reasons or goverment policy. It's a great leap in logic for you to reach your conclusion.

Most of the stuff imported from cheap labor is the Walmart crap that does not add much value. Autos are either produced in the U.S. or from countries that have a standard of living equivalant to our own.

Also, I have heard from at least two Indians at my job that the 1-5 (or whatever it is) salary in India goes a lot farther than their current salaries in the U.S. I suspect it is because you do not have the problem with real estate and medical care that we do here.

I was refering to making a serious effort to research and develop alternative energy sources. There are many ideas out there -- such as solar, wind, nuclear, etc. -- but they all have shortcommings and need to be refined. Even though he was not a strong president (IMO), Jimmy Carter had serious visions for this, but it was later scrapped by his successors. Bush cannot see beyond the oil barrell. He is either too corrupt or too stupid.
