Hey, what newsgroup do you hang out on? I'm on SRC and I'm trying to cut back on the crossposts.

Yeah, and I'm glad I'm not going to be one of them! I think it's going to be at least another 6 months before reality catches up with the sellers...

The US govt has gone almost entirely criminal... an almost 100% majority of our leaders have the bulk of their personal...

You rang? see below...

Oh, man, around here we're starting to see banners in the newspaper ads for housing "Price reduced" and when I drive around the countryside I see modifications on the physical signs in front of houses and land for sale: "Price reduced" so, this has all come up in the last 2-3 weeks. Lots of talk & data in the media (WP, WSJ). The highly leveraged people are gonna get planted in the wallet.

but I'm sure it will as even more houses come on the

On Tue, 7 Mar 2006, Thomas Bartkus I'm telling you that when I run across people every day, what do they complain about all the time? The government! That red-tape government. Taxes are...

They say 40% of the buying all over the USA is spec buying.

Collection law allows judgements, and there is procedure to seize property and buttetts. And, IRS can seize anything if you owe enough and have been a serious tax dodger.

However, they can seize houses,

I'd wait till you see a serious decline first. Better buy closer to the bottom of the downslide than the top of the downslide.

Yeah, I hate the stupid war, too. Very very stupid. Bad Bush, bad dog.

I read the WSJ all the time and I think business, per se, is the best human activity yet for mutually beneficial, practical, and useful things being done, that most people want-need. HOWEVER, the facts that the corporation scams are on the rise (eg. the Enrons), the CEO pays (especially on the high end) are OUT OF CONTROL (and have been getting worse over the last 20 years), and the wealth gap (rich getting much richer and the poor are stuck or getting worse), and I'll ask you to give me better details about why the govt is doing worse (sure, I don't like the govt spending, either, especially on DoD, DoE). Etc.

Yeah, but there were, in history, worse liquidates in the past. I can cite.

Not to let Kenny Lay and the rest of them

OK, but I think if we let corporations take over, then monopolies would form overnight (would you like the electric rate situation in California back 2 years ago?), we'd have tollbooths at every streetcorner, they would charge what the market would bear, and if you had any kids you'd be paying tuition for them or they'd be on the street, and if your house caught fire, the fire department would come and want to see your checkbook before it started spraying water or rescuing people, and the police department would charge you time for catching or attempting to catch criminals, and soldiers would get paychecks made out by you only after winning a battle (if they didn't win the battle, then you would empty your checking account to the victors). Shall I go on? You really want something like that? You think compebreastion would stay around? I doubt it very much.
