Understanding your question another way, most kids know how and expect to use computers. This allows companies to deploy computer solutions. Gone are the days when a doctor could refuse to use computers in his practice etc. People start to do ppt, sundayplus, or other such stuff at home. People start to bring in spreadsheets etc. Pretty soon the performance bar is raised at work due to tools from home. Note that the lack of adoption of Internet voice solutions is probably a pent up dam for business changes. People sneak it into the company. Large companies by and large only buy expensive solutions so they do not adapt. Small companies adapt thanks to a buddy or availabel cheap consultant. Availability of someone who will code a db for cheap or hook up a VPN for cheap limits the adoption of new tech for small companies as most small companies are tech idiots.
