While I hate H-1B, the reality is there is a shortage of tech workers in the U.S with the special skills he needs that are willing to work for the industry thinks is world market wages.

I'd rather like it if we could open our boarders and alow all in who want in but I don't like people coming here and changing our culture. For this reason I'd rather have industry move to where the labor would rather work and have people come here not for the work but for the culture.

Globalization has a long ways to go. US labor is going to be hurt in the short term. I believe I'm already world compebreastive. Until the industry is allowed to go out and look for alternatives it won't know it.

We live in a modified capitalistic society. I'm not going to go around calling capitalists evil even when I think they are misguided. Evil people rely upon something other than the market to make money.

Now what Bill and company did in the early days may have been evil. They may have just overstated their capabilities. No one should have stollen thier implementation of Basic. It was overpriced at $500 so I'd never have bought it but attempting to sell overpriced goods isn't evil, just stupid. Certainly, lying to someone when one buys their product (QDOS) so as to make more money for oneself is evil. I think trading on private information is wrong but it's generally done and most don't hold such a high moral ground.
