With the sudden boom in the telecom sector and the Indian R&D center becoming a hub for global operations, Telenity CEO Dilip Singh said that a Research and Development center would be set up either in New Delhi or in Pune by the end of next year to offer application-based services to consumers." The facility in India would be the company's second R&D center globally, first being in Europe,ä he added.

He also maintained that with voice ARPU (average revenue per share) declining worldwide, increasing subscriber base and deploying the right value-added services quickly and efficiently has become the need of the hour to sustain growth.

In effort to beat the rat race to cash in on the value added services market, Telenity is also helping state-owned telecom company BSNL to offer personalized, value-added and location-based services to its mobile network subscribers.
