Simply no incentive to be a scientist or an engineer when compared to what one could get by pig prancing and moralizing. This hit an all time high with the Newt Gingrich Pugs and the all out effort to use H1B technoids from India becasue of an absolutely contrived shortage of competence. Tens of thousands of extremely competent American computer science professionals were put out of work in preference to cheap and less competent technical people from India and Pakistan who looked good on paper and were cheap. This Republican ploy caused a bubble in tech stocks and a collapse when the neocon stupeedos found they had nothing but a bag of H1B's with credentials and no imagination or creative ability whatsoever. There WAS NEVER A SHORTAGE OF QUALIFIED COMPUTER SCIENCE people in this country and there still isn't. But that won't be true for long. The pursuit of that type of degree has taken a back seat to an MBA and a law degree. It don't pay to be a scientist or an engineer. All the bucks are in positions where you can rip off your fellow Americans. And that is EXACTLY what business people that use HxB's are doing.
