Once upon a time in America we had a representative republic or representative democracy in which the common people had some input to what our national government could and could not do. If that were still true today then you would not see the same outcry from displaced workers that you now see. You would not see it because things would never have been allowed o get this bad. It amazes me that Republicans can use the banner of democracy as an excuse to invade other nations yet they don't seem to have any respect for it here at home. Why should average Americans WANT Mr. Gates to get even richer than he already is? Surely they understand the power that he already has and that such power totally corrupts any form of democracy. Surely they understand that corporate execs are paid the huge salaries so they can in turn bribe the congress. Wealth disparity totally destroys any form of democracy.

If it is less expensive to create software in India then I am all for the Indians creating software and marketing it all over the world. But I willl never be supportive of H1B visas providing people like Bill Gates with more and more power over what was designed to be OUR House of Representatives.
