Wouldn't speakers of foreign languages as their native language have the same problem of translation into English. So why not train Americans to translate English which they understand (almost all technical language is in English any way) into a foreign language. It doesn't take that long to do it. In Israel they teach sufficient Hebrew to make one fluent in about 5 months. That is 5 hours a day for 5 days for 5 months.

Those results are often exceeded at the Defense Language Insbreastute at Monterey California in which they teach a foreign language with sufficient fluency to operate with foreign forces in about 6 months.

Why would we be producing entertainment in the US for consumption by foreigners when it is cheaper and more culturally relavent to produce entertainment in their native lands. Ever hear of BallyHood? (hint the Indian film Industry)

The major problem in US education is the US teacher is more interested in teaching gay love and cultural diversity and affirmative action than Math and Science. If you want to have math and Science you just hire teachers with a B.S. in math and a science or a masters for about twice the amount of the those with a teaching certificate only.

Then you make it mandatory that a student cannot get out of grade school with out mastery of simple math (addition, subtraction, long Division multiplication, and fractions). For junior high the stakes get higher you must master Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry.

For High School is will be differential and integral Calculus and four semesters of Chemistry and Physics each.

Then you pbutt a law that no four year degree granting insbreastution that accept a student with out the primary prereqs of differential, integral calculus and the science courses will get one dime of federal money. If people are deficient in those subjects the federal government will partially fund those programs at the community colleges level that will provide the necessary remedial training and certifications.

The community colleges should be structured in such a way that any one who has the ability and the interest can attend the community college free instead of the last two years of high school.

In short schools must be made educational insbreastutions and not public ally funded day care centers.

Last but not least. Any student that causes problems in school is removed from the home and placed in a insbreastutional of juvenile detention.
