Once again you have to project your fantasies on someone else, the symptom of a wasted life. If you don't think the stock is lost, then what will happen to it. If you know the market then explain this, if you really want to help.

many of the managers are also THE BIGGEST stockholder and owners stock options. The owner-stockholders do receive what are in effect salaries in the form of dividends and unearned income if the stock appreciates in value.
Unions have not made extravagant demands, compared to the multimillion dollar salaries of company managers and the fact that most the stock in these companies are owned by other insbreastutions like CALPERS whosen members make in excess of 90,000 a year. These are working clbutt people who worked all their lives on the promise of these pensions.

BS. The US government has always favored big business over labor. Let's remember the S&L scandal that ripped off customers who had save their money. Then the smart butt punks at Enron whose shinanigans cut their workers pensions in half.
Now they're reaping what they sowed.

If the company recovers it should be made to live up to its promises. Otherwise it should pay its obligations and go under. Then other airlines would sprout up like Virgin and do what bloated aging UAL was unable to do.
