(see full quote of Pratap Tamby's post below) I apreciate the details that Pratap Tambay is providing (see below) in getting a good picture of what is going on in Indian society, human rights, and how this connects with the business interests between India and the rest of the world. I recall, a good number of years ago, that in the USA there was some decision to not do business with South Africa because of its apartheid policy. Although controversial in terms of a moral decision that migh unfairly impact the more vulnerable fraction of the population, South Africa did change and a non-white, Nelson Mandella, got elected. I'm sure there is a big story there, too. And, of course, we in the USA have a large disadvantaged fraction of our population, too. All of this makes me appreciate even more that attempts at creating laws to promote justice and fairness are worthy projects.
