Well, at least there are some people able to see the reality, that our politicians and business leaders are way way off the road.

If we want to find the solution to the problems we should look at the deepest picture, not only to scratch the surface. And the big picture is that the Western societies already entered into a new phase of the human society. We are leaving the industrial-capitalist society and we are entering into the post-industrial-post-capitalist period.

It is a system change as dramatic as it was the evolution from slavery to feudalism and from feudalism to capitalism. Due to deep changes in society the old social system become obsolete by new realities and it need to be strongly reformed.

When Roman Empire collapsed 2000 years ago the slavery system collapsed since there was not enough military might to be able to fight all the slaves revolts combined with barbarian invasions. When advancements in mechanic 300 years ago made possible mbutt production the feudalism become obsolete. We also should see that countries where the social changes did not happen (Asia and Africa) become 3rd world countries being overpbutted by the liberal countries, which embraced the change.

US and all the rest of the West it is today in a similar situation. Globalization change everything we knew about how economy works. The old way of doing things, mainly "free-market capitalism" become obsolete and it become a liability rather than an buttet. The "free-market" capitalism running to maximize proffit is moving out of country all the industry once was the engine of our society. We are living burning our reserve and on debt we have to pay into the near future. In order to pay, we need revenue. In order to have revenue we need jobs and industry to export goods and services. Well, the "free market capitalism" is taking away exactly what we need to keep our society afloat.

We can just wait until our economy collapse and we become a third world country then start a revolution OR we can be smarted, get a hint of what is going on and start to apply small corrections and reforms to gradually shift away toward post-industrial-post-capitalist society.

If we are conservatives and fight to keep the things as they are, then we are going to get pain, sufferings, fighting, shooting on streets, killings and so on. If we get a brain and reform our society we may have a chance to evolve maintaining a decent life level.
