Why Outsourcing is Good 3346
Are you trying to say the minimum wage is $1 an hour from that number? My understanding is that is yearly house hold income ($3100). It's an average (not minimum wage), and it does not show the amount one person makes, but what the entire home brings in... According to the site, Americans average is $41,000. Although, last time I checked the U.S. Census Bureau (in the last 2 months) it was $39,000, but it was once $41,000, I buttume that is more evidence of what 'fair trade' is doing to our country... Anyways, it's hard enough for a family to live off of $39,000 a year, imagine $3,100... The minimum wage is technically supposed to be around 10 cents an hour there, but I've talked with Indians here on work visas and have hared that it's common for workers to take less. Why Outsourcing is Good 3347 Unnecessary. It will not be long before these countries will tell American "financiers" to take a hike. They... Yes of course. And what is better. A) Full employment at 10 cents an hour B) 93.5% employment at $8 an hour Keep it simple and just bump minimum wage. What you propose does the same thing, but adds the complexity of having to redistribute and make sure it ends up in the right hands. As for lowering taxes on the poor. Most that live at poverty level pay none or very little as it is. A bigger percentage of zero is still zero...
