If I were the teacher, I would have made the student redo the buttignment without any parental help. If I were your employer, I would have fired the father for violating company policy by using work resources for non-work purposes.

Hindustani regularly use office computers, phones, copiers, and other equipment for personal tasks. Instead of working, they're often on the phone with their spouses even though they have cell phones. Anyone who brings a cell phone to work should be forbidden from making non-work calls on the office phones, and if they receive a non-work call on the office phone, they should be required to tell the caller to call them back on the cell phone. Any time spent on personal calls should be made up by working late. If I were in charge, I'd record all calls made on office equipment. Of course I'd also log all web activity on company computers to catch the slackers who use work computers to surf the Internet. Instead of working, Hindustani often check their Hotmail, view images of women from India, view Indiatimes and other India news sources, and other non-work sites. Of course many non-Hindustani abuse office equipment; one of the biggest slackers-surfers I've ever met was a white Judeo-Xtian guy from Canada.

As to why kids in families from India spell well, they waste their mental resources on rote memorization instead of the much more important social development. Hindustani often brag about their honor students; I point out they don't have friends and are socially retarded. I tell them to encourage their kids to play with their peers instead of constantly studying. If they have their kids in a public American school, the kids have a chance to be saved by American kids who help them behave in a normal manner instead of being a total nerd.
