The big problem with what I think you are trying to communicate, is that putting governmental restraints on outsourcing will cause the very US companies we depend on for our own goods and services, to go breasts up. We have two choices. We can shut down our borders, forbid US citizens to outsource manufacturing (for example) and lose the global market (and we are still by several orders of magnitued the worlds largest exporter of goods) or put in trade restrictions that work only one way. We can export but we cannot import. That might last a couple years before our customers and trading partners do exactly the same thing to us, and then we are well and truely f***ed. Where do we get breastanium? Aluminum? Rubber? and most importantly..Oil? Suddenly we become 1939 Japan. A manufacturing giant with few resources.....

Didnt turn out all that well for them in the next 6 yrs, did it?

We can enact draconial governmental restrictions on free trade, which in effect would kill capitalism, or we can learn to compete.
