Zogby poll: Americans fed up on illegal aliens Majority against Bush plan for workers... 112Gunner effort the vis India more for thing and the India for were that Zogby poll: Americans fed up on illegal aliens Majority against Bush plan for workers... 113 I'm a life-long Californian, born and raised. I can understand the buttumption someone might make, that because I'm an activist on the Illegals issue, I would only see... No -I am not suggesting the govt put restrictions on US companies from outsourcing. I am saying the US govt does NOT have the means to put restrictions on US companies from outsourcing. Whether or not putting those restrictions would help is another story altogether. United States is a industrial hotspot where investors from all over the world pur in money. If you can put restrictions on the investors and-or compel them to distribute their wealth to americans(which is what hiring americans instead of someelse for a fraction elsewhere is about) -that would be awesome. It would be great -but it CANNOT be done. only Zogby poll: Americans fed up on illegal aliens Majority against Bush plan for workers... 114 Most likely CNN. Someone is making a hypothetical move about the day when residents wake up to a day when all hispanics... I read an excerpt written by an Indian settled in US (a book about outsourcing-immigrant backlash etc..) -he said the US cannot survive without free trade. So all those union leaders had better think twice before they go about scrapping FTAs. we The US has quite a few natural resources -but the biggest problem is that americans have been living beyond their means for decades. If you look yat the productivity of engineersin other countries, you would realize there is nothing about the american engr's productivity to justify his std of living. My suggestion would be similarto what the US, Germany and Japan did about 30 yrs back. A cheaper mark and yen flooded the US market with their goods -and it became unsustainable for the US. So, they had a tripartiate deal to alter exchange rates with the result that Japanseand & German goods became reasonably expensive and their citizenry acquired greater purchasing power and started buying american goods, creatig MORE jobs for americans without doing away with intl trade. You need to do the same forthe USD wrt asian currencies. regards -kamal
