I'm not laughing at all. He could still get off on appeal. A large fraction of appeals overturn the lower courts.

I have yet to see you admit or even acknowledge that CEOs, and other suits, and all of the entourage they carry along actually do overstep their responsibilities, grab compensation way in excess of what they deserve, and generally help themselves at the expense of "the little guy" and I've cited a few of many references while you have done zero to really back up the idea that these guys are all normal-behaving (instead of outrageously behaving, obscenely pampered, etc.) ordinary nice guys.

With the exception of a minority (who, I will also place on "probation") I would caste the judgement that THEY (the ones above, including the corp lawyers, lobbyists, PR-depts, marketing, databases) are basically guilty until proven innocent.

You can, if you want to, be a stooge for "the establishement"; as far as I'm concerned, the history books have shown the vast majority to be selfish-greedy bums who very often cause unrecognized suffering at all levels below their own posh offices.

But, you, who has actually worked for those guys, I can see, are basically a "fellow traveler."

The only ones that are going to get the blowtorch on their buttes are the ones that pled guilty and agreed to cooperate with the lawyers.

We will see about the ones who appeal and get to walk laughing to the bank.
