Intel need not hire an American ever again. 4484
Clueless bigot. If America is not good enough for Intel, is Intel good enough for America? For jobs: India - good. China - good. Africa - bad. America - bad. For war for oil...

Surprisingly, I have to agree with this guy on this point. Sort of. CEO's of large corporations normally make maybe a couple million in straight salary. Of course a couple million in a CEO's pocket will go a lot farther than it will in the average person's pocket since the company covers their expenses as well (car services, apartments, hotels, flights, food, etc.) Whereas the average person would have to pay out of his own pocket for first-clbutt trans-Atlantic flights and limo drivers. Where CEO's really make a killing is in stock options and severance-retirement packages that can be worth tens of millions; even when the CEO is fired for illegal accounting practices, or when he drives the company to the brink of Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Just for comparison, the CEO of Krispy Kreme makes $760-hour + expenses (about $1.5 mil per year). I haven't seen any info on stock options granted or severance packages yet.

I disagree with that as well. This flies in the face of a free-market system. India and China are operating at an advantage for now, since the "quality of life" of the citizenry has not escalated to the same level as most industrialized nations, and the governments are largely subsidizing developing-emerging businesses and the workforce. Even as the workforce increases skills, they will demand higher salaries; as the salaries rise, the quality of life will increase; and as the companies expand, they will seek outside investor capital which will force them to increase profits. All these factors will add pressure to raise the price of goods and services. Increased prices of goods and services levels the playing field, and takes the "low-cost" completely out of the phrase "low-cost goods and services", which takes some of the air out of the justification for outsourcing... Unless the government at that point decides to increase taxes on the citizenry to subsidize the businesses, until the workers tire of seeing 50% of their paycheck going *poof*...
