I'm glad that both of you have been able to make use of my database. The LCA database on ZaZona.com was the first of its kind and was the result of a huge effort by myself and a few other dedicated activists. It wasn't easy getting the first Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) for that data, but the DOL has been much more cooperative since then.

As Terry observed, the database is enormous, but it's just a portion of all the data that is available. I put slightly over 1 million LCAs online, which is about half of what I have available. I figured a million is enough to demonstrate to people the enormity of the problem. Perhaps one of these days I will enter more records.

Both of you correctly noticed the large numbers of companies that hire H-1Bs without even bothering to find US citizens to fill the job. Unfortunately that's a growing trend. It is pure myth that employers need to look for Americans first - and many of them don't.
