I suspect that one of the problems you are running into is that you have 3 routers in your design. The cisco, the dlink and the linksys. You would probably have far fewer problems were you using a non-router model WAP, but that is not relevant at the moment since that is not the equipment you have. You may want to statically address the wan interface on the WAP routers, and change thier modes so that they are routing between networks rather than doing NAT (which they do by default). Now, you mentiont that you would really like to have only one WAP. Could you explain this in a little more detail? Have you tried to disable the wireless features on one of the routers (take your pick which one). What is trying to be achieved by having both turned on at the same time? Are they sitting next to eachother, or is one in the basement, and the other in the attic (or some other such scenario) ? In order for 2 WAPs to service the same user base, they cannot both be using the same internal address space. You probably have a little bit of a routing nightmare going on right now, which may not account for only one user being able to use the system at once, but surely it doesnt help in trying to troubleshoot. 2 Laptops, only 1 can be on WAP at a time 1118 Here is the setup, I can provide exact model #s if you want, but they probably arent relevant. You could get way with using 2 WAPs on different channels, with different ESSID's ... but that is about the only way you will be able to use them both in an infrastructure configuration. Let each consumer router do its DHCP for its clients, filter by MAC address or impliment WEP to keep thing more secure. Your cisco (being a true router and all) should have no problem with handling the route table for how to get from the .11 subnet to the .12 subnet. By default, your linksys and dlink will kick any non-local subnet traffic out to thier default gateway ( the intneral IP (eth1) of the cisco). Let me know if you have more questions ... -= NuTs =-
