there is certainly nothing wrong with the dimension 2400 but it is a relatively dated machine. yes you can install a larger...

Here is the setup, I can provide exact model #s if you want, but they probably arent relevant.

There is a common NAT behind both the Cisco Router, and the Linux Box

All PCs are located in the Local Area Network Section, the determination of which cable modem the a PC uses to reach the internet is determined by its Gate .128 for Cable Modem 1 or .1 for Cable Modem 2. There is a Linux Box running a DNS server, and a DHCP server located within the Local Area Network.

WAP1 is a Linksys WRT54G that is connected to the Cisco Switch and is being serviced by the Linux DHCP server for IPs on that Wireless portion of the network.

WAP2 is a DLINK Wireless Router (DI504 I think). The router is servicing it's own DHCP on a NATted IP section. The IPs for the DLINK connected devices are separate from the other devices. The WAN section of the DLINK device is an IP routable on the Local Area Network.

We have 3 Dell 700Ms with the Intel A-B-G card (2915ABG). When one device connects to either of the 2 WAP devices everything works fine. When a second Device connects to that same WAP device, the initial connection is terminated. The initial connection can then be manually reconnected, which will then disconnect the other device. This can go on forever. At no point is anything beyond the laptop connection to the Wireless network effected. All other portions of the Local Area Network continue to function just fine and show no effects of the strange battle occurring on the WAPs.
