An open letter to Michael Dell, continuedOpen Letter To Dell Problems Thank You, Tim, You were much more elegant than I could have been . The suffereings and misfortunes of my friend are not significant in a discussion... 2405FPW with ATI 9800XT Well, I just tried watching ten minutes of a DVD and I didn't hear any video noise at all. It sounded perfectly fine to me. The monitor is bright, but that's easily adjustable. No... I had the misfortune of needing warranty service on my Dell 8200 desktop. The monitor went bad after three and a half years of a four year warranty. They tried every which way to stall replacing the monitor. They would not believe what I was telling them about the failure. I even took digital pictures of the display working and failing, and sent it to them. They made all kinds of promises to call back which never happened. At one point, I complained about the long wait time I had to go through every time they disconnected me in the middle of a conversation. The tech gave me her personal telephone extension that I could use to leave a message so she could get back to me. When I asked how soon she would call back, she said usually within three business days. So, instead of being on hold for 45 minutes, I have to sit by the phone for three business days in case they decide to call back. I could go on and on, but it just raises my blood pressure, and does not help the situation. I just wanted to let you know you are not the only one having support problems. I can only wish you the best of luck in resolving your problem. Charles Ranheim
