Another dilemma

I find myself needing help once more on a Dell system.

A relative managed to forget her pbuttword on her Dell Dimension 2400 and gave it to me to fix. The problem is the WinXP pbuttword, not the bios or system PW so the PW jumper or a bios clearing won't do the trick.

I guess what happened is she allowed Windows to "remember" her pbuttword for a long period of time and so didn't need to type it in for a while. Then, apparently, she deleted the same pbuttword within one of her apps and when she went to start up next time Win wanted the pbuttword typed in and she was unable to remember it.

I've tried using a pbuttword recovery service on the web, but it doesn't seem to work due to a corrupted PW file. I get an "Undocumented" error and that ends that. I can only guess she may have typed in an incorrect PW and then maybe end the power in frustration?

yes, Gold support is great. I HATE having to call tech supprt for any company...

I thought I'd check out the ability to use CTRL+F11 at boot-up to restore the thing to original, but THAT doesn't seem to work either. The PC just continues to boot, ending every time at the Windows Pbuttword screen.

If anyone here can offer a suggestion that could possibly work I'd be appreciative.
