BackupImaging SoftwareIn another thread: BackupImaging Software 1600 It is my policy to create images complete parbreastions very frequently, largely because I quite often give my system electronic indigestion by tweaking it ignorantly. Rstorations are a necessity! I used PowerQuest Drive Image... I asked for advice on selecting an external hard drive for backups. I purchased a Seagate PushButton Backup model number ST3250601U2-RK, a 250GB external hard drive with BounceBack software. I got it from Office Depot for $160. BackupImaging Software 1599 I use Ghost Enterprise Versions 7 and 8 at work to put disk images on multiple like platform machines. The Enterprise Editions... I've been reading reviews on BounceBack Pro (the Seagate didn't come with the Pro version, though, just regular BounceBack), and the reviews are very bad. I'm wondering if I should use another backup application. If I do, I suppose I would not have the convenience of using the push button on the Seagate drive, and I'd have to schedule my own backups. Also, I guess it wouldn't matter where I installed the backup application then. Are my buttumptions true? What backup-imaging application would you recommend? Acronis? Symantec Ghost? Norton Parbreastion Magic (does this one image, I think not)? I've been reading here: If I use an imaging program, will it contain individual files and folders (of, say jpgs or mp3s), or is it just one big file, bit by bit, of my hard drive or slave drive? Is there another newsgroup of which I should ask these questions? Thanks for any help.
