Bit Torrent 1739

Hi Colin, thanks for the info. For me it would be interesting just to see what is out there and how it is done. I am especially interested in understanding how Bit Torrent works, and if I could use it to share things with family like photos.

My current hobby is taking pictures with digital cameras. I have a full feature 12x zoom one that I plan on playing with this summer to learn about aperture, f-stops, etc. Then I have a great Sony DSC-T9 that I can carry around with me. The good thing about that camera is that it's designed to take images in low light without a flash which I love (due to image stabilization and high ISO) -- I can snap a few photos wherever I'm at with hardly anyone noticing. Office Depot has the pocketable Kodak V530 on sale today for $139. I snatched one up because that's especially good with taking long movies -- I easily took a fairly good quality movie today with it that was 20 minutes long with room to spare on the 1G SD card.

great camera with its only weakness being a weak flash. It has a the picture quality of the 750 and 850, with a good movie mode, and a good flash, then it will be THE camera to have in that category. I still bought the Sony DSC-T9 knowing this, because what I most want to capture is memories, which I can do with the low light sensitivity without having to use a flash which enables me to use it in many more situations. It's really a hard decision but I think I will be happier with the Sony. I used to think that the Canon Elph's were the best cameras to have, but after more in-depth examination that's not the case.

Sure, I'd like to see what's available on Bit Torrent; what kind of movies, software, etc. Since I have given up on web programming or systems database analyst work of any kind other than simple volunteer activities, my desire for software is a lot less, and I have gotten many companies to donate the most recent versions of their software to help with the organizations. As far as movies, I thought that once I got a DVD burner then maybe I would collect my favorites. I've found that any that I have "made backups of" just end up unused.

I'm also writing two books, making use of my Psychology Ph.D -- breastles to be announced. One is a semi-humorous book and the other is best described as an ecclectic convergence of sorts (being intentionally vague).

So, I have no real need to share or obtain anything, which is a change from the past when I always wanted to be knowledgeable about current trends (Java, .NET, Databases, other web technologies).
