In plain English how do you wipe these Dell parbreastions and restore points! 2200
Yes, you have to understand that if you don't want nothin of the Dell O.S. installed, then you need to get buy a Window CD from...

i have an old labreastude c640 with a docking station. the dock sta is on my desk, with a monitor stand above it. problem is slipping the sucker in and out, with so many piles of papers and keyboard blocking the way i have to move forward to get to the front. i seldom want to remove it. i know- stupid. i need to declutter my desk. but i dont have enuf room. i have 4 other systems with screens and keyboards. i really want to move the docksta off my desk, eliminate the monitor stand, and just keep the docksta under my desk, where i can slip the unit in and out easier. its also getting to the point i dont need that laptop anymore. i originally bought it as a desktop replacement and eventually bought more desktops anyway.

i've been using the inspiron 6400 usually for use away from my desk. so i havnt been connecting any peripherals to it other than power. i have wireless and usually just remote control back to any of my desktops to work on whatever. so really no applications setup on that laptop.

so i dont miss or need the docksta because it is not my only computer!

but those are my needs and quirks. yours are different. so if the docksta is important to you, and you want to pay the extra money, then you are limited to what you can get. but in either event, make sure you get a new core 2 instead if old core duo. Jay
