Can't change boot sequence in Dell 2100I have an aging Dell Inspiron 2100 that won't boot. I get the Dell Logo and F2 option. All that seems to work fine. I tried to boot from a CD-ROM per Dell's Doc # 147738 (see below). But, whenever I select "BOOT" in the setup and follow the instructions in the Dell Doc, all I get is a beep with a message: " All the items in this menu cannot be modified in user mode. If any items require change, please consult your system supervisor." Well, it's my PC and I guess that makes me the "supervisor." There is no supervisor PW in the setup. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. If there's a hidden supervisor's PW, can someone tell me where to find it? Haven't used this PC in several years. Think pulling the CMOS battery out and replacing it might help? Thanks and regards, PJF P.S., sent this also to Dell Tech Support but got no response!
