Another thing to try is Sysclean from Trend Micro (linked from the second page on my site) - its a free one-shot virus checker that uses the latest virus signatures as used on their full product. Download the signatures (and unpack) and the Sysclean app itself to a directory somewhere on the hard drive, disconnect from the internet. Disable Nortons (it can clash and think Sysclean is a virus itself), and do a full scan - it can take an hour or so, and will do several pbuttes (some of which look like DOS windows, just so you know)
