Cloning 98SE OSfrom different computer to a Dimension 3100 with USB only 1735
Interesting ya mention this because it's what I would buttumed also....Problem is is that an image was restored...
Actually I'm test running it now on an XP Pro parbreastion I have, it appears to have installed.......Now it's a matter of figgering the right add-ins and if they are working properly. It's a wierd setup as far as two different backups of the so-called prog install........
Excellent suggestion, have toyed with that already and appears these have to be loaded from DOS-batch files.......
Oh I'm sure...........The original install I have saved as a clone image, I made him give me another identical computer I can restore it to than I'll see what happens until I can get it going in the XP environment..........The biggest problem is my NOT knowing if the prog will work right as a clean install once I figure it out.........Ahhhhhhhhh, this a freakin headache, I'll know better next time to stick to building machines, restoring, cleaning out, etc.... As opposed to involving myself with unfamiliar software.........Lesson learned I suppose..........
