Cloning 98SE OSfrom different computer to a Dimension 3100 with USB only 1736
Interesting ya mention this because it's what I would buttumed also....Problem is is that an image was restored and it stops at the point and I can't do anything, the keyboard is USB also.....

I actually checked that and maybe I missed it.....Wierd setup in these BIOS, in tree fashion, I hate that.......But yes, I will look again.....
Now geeeeeeez go figger, it's been so long since I messed with 98 it slipped my mind to F8 and see what happens booting in to safe.....HOLY crap thanks for reminding me of that, it forgot an attempt for the drivers can be done there..........Now how the hell did I forgot that.....
It appears I may have the prog installed correctly anyway as I believe I figured it out......In the end it appears to be a "standalone" prog and not an actual install.........I tested it to Win2K and also XP and all functions are appearing to work properly, BUT, I have to verify this with someone at the site that actually knows what they are doing with the program to check its functions.........I'm giving them the new machine tomorrow with XP Home on it that came with it(and all the bullpoo bloatware already bogging it down) and the prog installed.......I personally think the printing functions may be a problem as the spooler setup is based on LTP1 connections.......These Dimension 3100 are USB only(prolly virtual port config deal).......Now how to spool it to a USB?...........OYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!
Yeah it definately is.....Pain in the butt though, I usually don't get involved in this portion of computing involving software but it appears the owner refuses to spend the bucks to upgrade the software........In a way I don't blame him it was VERY expensive to design in the first place...........
